If somehow you haven't heard it yet, Jason has a fear of spiders. He has gotten better over the years, believe it or not. Well, he killed a spider in the hallway the other day but didn't pick up the dead body. When Dave challenged him to go pick it up with his bare hands, he couldn't. But, Cort stepped in and outmanned him.
The segment started by talking about how Dave made Jason jump the other day when he started singing the "It sucks to be old" intro song during a commercial break. Then, Chuck noticed there was a dead spider in the hallway and wondered why it just left there. Jason admits that he killed it, but then didn't pick up the body. Lisa remembers him killing it because he was really proud of himself and wanted to make it known.
This is when Dave issues a challenge. He challenges Jason to go pick up the spider's dead body with his bare hands. Now, it's not easy for a guy with a spider fear to go pick up a dead spider body, so he struggles with the idea. When Jason says no, Dave wonders if Cort would do it. Cort has his own fear of bugs, but it's mostly "winged insects".
So, Cort goes and picks up the spider and brings it into Jason's room. Dave says that Jason was outmanned by Cort!
But, Jason can't let this slide so he brings up the fact that just a few weeks ago he had to kill a deerfly for Cort, in Cort's office.
Fears, man. We all have them! They are usually irrational and that is what's so crazy about them! Oh well!
