A vicious squirrel has reportedly been the reason 2 California residents had to go to the Emergency Room. It's been responsible for a series of attacks!

The incidents have been happening in San Rafael, California. Neighbors in the North Bay are now on alert after one vicious squirrel has been on the attack and injuring people who have then needed quick medical attention. You never expect it to be a squirrel! They always look cute and innocent but that's not always the case. See a video report shared by ABC7 News Bay Area on YouTube below.

ABC 7 News says that flyers are now posted in the area warning residents about the incidents and they say 5 people have been attacked so far and it might have been by the same squirrel with a goldfish color. It's also been a popular subject of discussion on the local Nextdoor app.

ABC 7 News reports that squirrels are not vectors for rabies and the aggressive behavior was likely due to the animal being fed and cared for by humans when it was small. That's when experts warn not to feed wild animals. The people are now recovering and the squirrel hasn't been spotted in a couple of days. That would be wild having to keep your head on a swivel for squirrels. You're already looking out for so many different things and now you have to add one to the list.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
