Good on Hellmann's for stepping up and doing what's right when mayo is involved. They're doing their best to show that they're truly the biggest name in mayo. Yes, Duke's might be a popular alternative right now and we're seeing its popularity soar but we can't forget about the classic Hellmann's. They're doing their part. A while ago, Dave & Chuck The Freak talked about a restaurant in Spain that was lit on fire by an angry customer who wanted mayo when they didn't have any. The incident resulted in thousands of dollars in damages and now Hellmann's has heard about the case and they've generously offered to pay for the repairs and help ensure they never run out of mayo again. I love stories like this.

According to Yahoo!, the arson happened at Cafeteria Las Postas in Svilla, Spain. Employees say it happened because the angry customer wanted mayo and they didn't have any at the time. So, the man set the place on fire. Not the best choice.

Hellmann's saw what happened and took to Instagram to say, "Cafeteria Las Postas: We're sorry we weren't there. From now on, you can count on us. Let us take care of the repairs and make sure your sandwiches never run out of mayonnaise again."

Very cool of them to take action and help out a small business in need. The tie to mayo is clear and they took action. This is going to help their PR and maybe next time I'll buy their product because of the good they have done in the world.
