After refusing to go to the hospital for 16 years, a 65-year-old Russian man has finally removed his massive head-shaped tumor from his neck. This is why you shouldn't wait!

If you think something is wrong or something feels off--go to get it checked out by a professional. Too often people wait and refuse to go get it checked out and that often only makes things worse. This Russian man waited 16 years to go get his head-shaped tumor removed and this thing is massive. It's like a second head!

Igot Popyrin, head of the surgical department at the Kirov Regional Clinical Hospital, tells The New York Post, "Usually, such a tumor grows slowly and painfully, so many patients postpone a visit to a specialist, hoping that the formation will disappear on its own."

The tumor was identified as a benign lipoma but this one grew much larger than they typically will. Due to its position, this tumor was a little more different and difficult to remove. The surgery required near-perfect precision, per The New York Post.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
