Don't call it a comeback! Chi-Chi's is opening their first new restaurant location in 20 years. People in the Minneapolis area are stoked!

Nostalgia is very big right now and that includes our favorite places to eat. When's the last time you went to a Chi-Chi's? For me, it's been a long time but I still remember all the flavors and songs--they did it big for birthdays. Now, it's finally coming back. They just opened their first new restaurant location since 2004! That's crazy but in an awesome way. It's in the St. Louis Park suburb of Minneapolis. Yes, they'll have your classic favorites like chimichangas and deep-fried ice cream but they'll also have more to offer this time around!

According to Restaurant Business, they'll also have more elevated fare like quesabirria tacos. Yes, please! It will also reportedly feature more of a modern decor and a prominent bar area with more than 100 tequilas. Okay, they're speaking my language.

Michael McDermott, son of Chi-Chi's co-founder Marno McDermott, says, "Chi-Chi's is back stronger than ever. We're bring back the food, energy, and fun that people love, now with a fresh twist for a whole new generation," via Restaurant Business.

Will this start the comeback for the chain? I hope so! I'd love to see them return on a national level.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
