A driver paid $700 to investigate a strange sound coming from their car. What was the sound? Something they didn't need to pay that much money to find!

When you hear a strange sound coming from your car, it's normal to be a bit concerned. You don't want it to end up being something serious that could potentially put you in danger or have a large bill sent your way. You want to find out what it is! Personally, I don't know anything about cars and mechanics so I wouldn't know what it was if I heard a strange sound. I'd go to a professional and pay for them to investigate. But I'd be really embarrassed to find out it was just the warm fireplace track playing through my radio. Unfortunately, that's what happened here. See a TikTok video showing what happened below.

Before you pay someone to look into it, always check to make sure it's not a track coming from your phone via Bluetooth or something like that. You don't want to pay that much money for it to turn out to be something simple like that. Unfortunately, it happens more often than we'd like to admit.

According to Newsweek, it happened to Alex Nevarez in New York City. When she heard the sound, she didn't know what was going on--and you can't blame her! Sounds like she's being a good sport about it all now. Read more about the embarrassing ordeal from Newsweek here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
