There's a St. Louis mansion that's getting attention online as possibly the scariest house in America. When you think about all the allegedly haunted and scary houses, could this actually be it?

Spooky season is upon us. It's time for people to go out and do their favorite Halloween activities like going to haunted houses. However, sometimes the haunted houses in question aren't attractions or anything like that--they're actually haunted. Like, for real. Well, at least that's what people claim. Many scary houses might come to mind where murders have taken place and stuff like that but now 'Scariest House in America' on HGTV might have found the scariest house in America. The show is hosted by actress and comedian Retta (from Parks & Rec fame). According to Inside Edition, the home is owned by Aleha Jane and Kyle Wheeler and they say baffling happenings are common in the house. See a video shared by Inside Edition below. Is it actually the scariest house in the country?

Inside Edition says 13 people have been found dead the in the 200-year-old home. That sounds significant even for an old home like that. It would be wild to own that home. Spooky sounds you can always find a logical explanation for like the furnace or something like that. 13 people being found dead is a lot harder to explain.

Have you ever been to a real haunted house? Do you own a scary house like this?

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
