‘U Up?’: New Jersey Woman Sets Booty Call’s House On Fire After He Fell Asleep

A New Jersey woman set her booty call's house on fire because he fell asleep! If you make a booty call don't leave them hanging, I guess!

Thankfully, he was able to get out of the house in time and was safe--but she's now facing 8 years in prison for her actions. This is not the way you want your booty call to go. That's why they often begin with a "u up?" text to ensure they're awake and willing to engage in some fun. However, with late night booty calls people can fall asleep. That means you might have to wait to have your fun together at a different time. Or you can set their house on fire. It sounds like that's what 35-year-old Taija Russsell decided to do. She's copped to aggravated arson and in a plea deal prosecutors agreed to recommend an 8-year prison term. She was also indicted on 5 other charges including attempted murder and aggravated assault, per The Smoking Gun.

The Smoking Gun says it started with some texts including him saying, "Bring ya ass." However, by the time she arrived he had fallen asleep and didn't answer the door. Sounds like she didn't appreciate that. She sent him threats including saying she hopes he dies, per The Smoking Gun. Next, The Smoking Gun says she went to the gas station and bought lighter fluid, matches, and a cigarette lighter. She then returned to the home and set a fire outside.

This case has been reportedly dragging on for years. Hopefully it's able to finally conclude and come to an end soon. Read more about what happened from The Smoking Gun here.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
