Is today finally the day that the aliens will make first contact here on Earth? Some websites are claiming today is the day!

Some people have been waiting their entire lives for this moment--if it were to actually happen. Sites are claiming that aliens could make first contact today and they're basing it on an interstellar comet that's flying past us and will hit its closest point to the sun today, per Futurism. Some are under the belief that it's not a comet but an alien mothership. Is it actually happening?

Honestly, I'm doubtful. I feel like if it were happening today Chuck would have had a better read on it and would be in the know. He hasn't mentioned anything about it as of now so color me doubtful.

According to Futurism, Harvard astronomer Avi Loeb believes it's an enormous mothership that was sent to us by an intelligent extraterrestrial civilization. However, other scientists say they've gathered evidence that it's a comet made up of carbon dioxide ice.

What do you think? Read more about it from Futurism here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
