There's a guy who launched a Kickstarter for a 6-pound phone case. His thinking is it will be so heavy you physically can't use it for very long, helping you to get off your phone.

Do you think this sound like something you'd try? I think many of us would admit we are on our phones too often and would like a break from it. However, sometimes we just can't stop. So, having a 6-pound phone case might help you put that phone down once and a while. It would be really hard to continuously use it, 6 pounds is heavier than you'd think after a while. You can check out the Kickstarter here. They still have a long way to go in order to reach their goal.

According to Oddity Central, the phone is designed by Matter Neuroscience. They want to create the heaviest and chunkiest case you can buy. Odd when everyone else is trying to go sleeker and smaller but they might be onto something.

6 pounds would make it heavier than a MacBook Pro laptop! That's a very heavy phone. Honestly, I feel like even this couldn't keep me off my phone for long. I'd find a way around it. Read more about the 6-pound phone case here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
