The dad who took down an alleged car thief in nothing but his Spongebob underwear is our Badass Of The Day. It's not the typical badass attire but whatever works!

The incident happened in Western Australia. When you think of badasses you probably think of tough guys in leather or biker attire (or is it just me?). You don't picture them in Spongebob underwear, that's for sure. However, not every hero or badass is the same. They can wear whatever they want. According to Daily Star, Dean Bathurst jumped into action when they saw a man acting suspiciously outside. His daughter raised the alarm when she reportedly saw the man pulling wires from the dashboard of the car. That's when the 57-year-old dad jumped into action...wearing nothing but his Spongebob underwear.

Despite his attire, he was able to bring the suspect down! Impressive! The 31-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with armed robbery, deprivation of liberty, unlawful and indecent assault, and stealing 2 vehicles, per Daily Star.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
