California Restaurant Shut Down After Viral ‘Frozen Rib Incident’
A California restaurant has been shut down after a viral frozen rib incident. This will have you think twice about going out to eat again.
People joke around all the time that you never know what the staff might be doing back in the kitchen that you don't know about. Could they be spitting on your food? Messing with it? Is the food old? Properly taken care of? There are many questions when you go out to eat and you often remain in the dark about their practices and what they're up to. A video in Milpitas, California was reportedly shut down after a witness recorded video of someone described as an employee throwing frozen ribs onto the ground. It happened at a restaurant called Pho Love. Check out a video report shared by NBC Bay Area on YouTube below.

NBC Bay Area reports that a health inspector spent more than 3 hours inside the restaurant red tagging things. The Santa Clara County Environmental Health sent NBC Bay Area a statement saying, "This morning, environmental health specialists conducted a full investigation that involved speaking with the food facility operator and reviewing their current staff training and food safety handling practices. While addressing the violation related to the rib incident, inspectors found major violations, including a cockroach infestation and a lack of ability to properly sanitize utensils and equipment. The facility was also cited for failing to follow proper food safety knowledge regarding the handling of the frozen rib incident."
Pho Love was closed until the operator can correct the major violations, per NBC Bay Area. Sounds like they're working hard to improve things and hopefully can turn it around and gain the public's trust again.
