An unemployed son is going viral on social media after pulling a "Mrs. Doubtfire" scam to collect his dead mother's pension. Honestly, he looks a lot like the Robin Williams character!

'Mrs. Doubtfire' is a comedy classic. It's even still referenced all the time today many decades later. That's how you know it's a good one. However, when times get tough trying to pull a Mrs. Doubtfire in real life might sound like a good idea but trust it is not. You won't be able to pull it off for very long and even if you can fool family or friends--fooling the government is a whole different thing. According to The New York Post, an unidentified 56-year-old man in Italy started the scam after his mother died 3 years ago and as part of it he had to conceal her mummified corpse in their family home!

Reports say the son never reported her death and instead kept her in a sleeping bag in the laundry room. Yikes. So, he impersonated her in full makeup and her clothes to cash in on her pension. He was even able to renew her ID card at a government office so his disguise must have been pretty good!

Eventually, a government employee caught onto the scam after noticing his masculine features, per The New York Post. He's now being investigated for illegally concealing a body and benefit fraud. It remains unclear if he was arrested.

You can see pictures of him with and without the disguise in this New York Post article here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
