Look, passing gas is natural! It happens! But, if you can control it you definitely want to. Especially when surrounded by family for Thanksgiving dinner. While everyone has their own unique dishes that can make them gassy, some Thanksgiving foods are known to be gas-inducing. The New York Post just released an article detailing 4 gas-inducing Thanksgiving foods that should be on your radar and they include: mac and cheese, roasted Brussels sprouts, broccoli casserole, and sweet potatoes and candied yams.

Thankfully, stuffing is not one of the 4. However, some of these dishes are pretty common during Thanksgiving so you might want to remember this and perhaps bookmark it so you don't fart throughout your Thanksgiving dinner.
Mac and cheese makes sense because of the dairy, fat content, and starches. There's a lot there that can get you. Brussels sprouts are high in fiber but they aren't as common as others at Thanksgiving, at least not with my family. Broccoli has complex sugar raffinose and is easy to convert into gas, per The New York Post. Sweet potatoes contain mannitol which is rapidly fermented by the gut bacteria which creates gas and bloating.
So, there you have it. Be careful out there!
