A Texas woman has been arrested after stabbing a firehose while firefighters responded to a house fire. That's a terrible decision and could have hurt or killed people!

Thankfully, it sounds like nobody was hurt during the fire. What a diabolical move! You don't even see stuff like that in the movies or on TV. The incident happened at a home in Dallas, Texas around 1am. According to NBC DFW, 37-year-old Jermecia Denise Murphy allegedly took a knife to one of the firehoses to prevent the firefighters from extinguishing the flames.

NBC DFW says witnesses believe Murphy was the one who started the fire as she allegedly admitted to setting it while she was stabbing the firehose. She was placed under arrest and charged with criminal mischief and a first-degree Arson charge will also be added to her charges.

What an awful choice to make. Stabbing the firehose could have resulted in injury or a loss of life. No word on what the motive behind setting the fire was at this time.

That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
