A Florida woman is reportedly suing Disney after falling near a pool by the Animal Kingdom Lodge. She's now seeking $50k in damages!

Taking a fall can hurt. Sometimes worse than others. Usually, when I've taken a stumble, it's really more embarrassing than it is physically painful. Both can hurt in different ways. One Florida woman is now suing Disney after slipping and falling on a wet surface by Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge pool, per FOX 35 Orlando. The Florida woman claims her body suffered permanent injury after a fall that resulted in both physical and mental pain and suffering along with hospital expenses, according to FOX 35 Orlando. I'm telling you--sometimes that mental pain is worse than the physical pain!

The woman claims that Disney failed to maintain a reasonably safe premise and should have been aware of how dangerous the wet area was. The Florida woman was a business invitee at the resort, per FOX 35 Orlando.

I wonder how this lawsuit will end. On one hand, it sounds like she was hurt, according to her claims. Permanent injuries? That makes it sound pretty significant. On the other hand, can't one assume areas by pools will be wet? You'd think it should be known to walk carefully around a pool. So, we'll see how this plays out!

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
