A Florida woman spent her holidays celebrating her 100th birthday! It's a rare milestone that calls for a big celebration!

Not many people make it to 100. So, if you do--make sure to celebrate it. This Florida woman rung in her 100th birthday on Christmas and celebrated with her family and lots of food. That's how I'd do it. How does it get any better than that? Meet the 100-year-old Florida woman, better known as Ada Griffin in a video report shared by WESH 2 News on YouTube below!

According to WESH, Griffin was born on Christmas Day, 1925. She was one of 15 siblings and had 6 children of her own. Joining her at her 100th birthday party were her 96-year-old sister, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and more.

She was born in Georgia but now lives in Oviedo, Florida--where she's lived since WWII! Things have come a long way since she was a youth. Even medicine! She tells WESH, "Daddy would fix our medicine up. He would boil bark off a tree and different things and all, and fix up that medicine for us, for colds and everything. We didn't get sick."

Well, boil me up some bark if it's going to help me reach 100! Read more from WESH here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
