A Florida mailman is in hot water after mistaking an innocent kid for a porch pirate and trying to run him over! You can't do that!

If you're going to try to run over a criminal (never a great idea) then it's best to make sure they are, in fact, a criminal. If they aren't, you might be in some trouble. Even if they are, there are better ways to take care of things than to try to run them over!

According to FOX 10 TV, a Florida mailman was arrested after allegedly trying to hit a 10-year-old kid with his USPS vehicle. That Florida mailman has since been identified as William White.

FOX 10 TV reports that White, a postal carrier for USPS, dropped a package off at the wrong house while out on a delivery and a child in the home realized it was the wrong address and placed it on his scooter to take it to the correct address. That's when White reportedly thought the child was stealing the package and drove his USPS vehicle towards the child running over the scooter, per FOX 10 TV.

White has been charged with aggravated assault, criminal mischief, and petit theft.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
