A Canadian apartment has essentially turned into an ice castle after the renter cut the heat to save money. Maybe try to find a different way to save money--you need that heat!

.You can't blame the renter for wanting to find a way to save money. Don't we all? However, when it's winter and it's extremely cold--you should find something to cut other than the heat. Maybe it's food, alcohol, entertainment money, subscriptions--there's a lot to choose from! According to Oddity Central, Jacques Nault thought he walked into a fairytale ice castle when he opened the front door to one of his apartments at the Trois-Rivieres in Quebec, Canada. The floor was reportedly covered in roughly a foot of ice! Nault says one of his tenants tried to save a few dollars and this is what happened. It looks miserable! According to Oddity Central, Nault said, "Everything is expensive. The cost of living is getting higher and higher. People want to save money. For them, heating doesn't make much difference. If they're not in the home, they say to themselves, 'Let's lower the electricity costs.' I don't think that's a good way to save money." I agree.

Reports say the previous tenant of the apartment was evicted in early January but it's unclear if the owner will take legal action against them. See a YouTube short shared by CTV News here.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
