Idiot Criminal Of The Day: Florida Man Arrested Using Fake Money To Buy Gifts For Stripper

A Florida man was arrested after reportedly using fake money to buy gifts for a stripper. He's now our Idiot Criminal Of The Day on Dave & Chuck The Freak.

Strippers need love too. However, if you're going to buy them gifts then make sure you're using real money. The incident happened in Pinellas County, Florida. According to The Smoking Gun, investigators believe that the Florida man, identified as 32-year-old Alexander Baker-Depew, used funny money to buy flowers and chocolates for a stripper he was into. The report says he handed over 15 $20 bills to cover his $288 bill. After he left, they realized the money wasn't real and were even marked with the word "replica." He then went to the strip club and allegedly tried to pay his bar tab with the fake money which resulted in police being called to the club. When confronted, he reportedly admitted he got the chocolates and flowers to give to a female dancer at the strip club, per The Smoking Gun. It's unclear if they have a relationship or if it's one-sided. In addition to the charges for passing fake money he was also hit with other felony counts when they found cocaine and methamphetamine, per The Smoking Gun.
