Cyndi Lauper: Check Out New Doc ‘Let the Canary Sing’

Cyndi Lauper is the subject of a new documentary on Paramount+ called Let The Canary Sing.The documentary covers Lauper's childhood, her '80s pop superstar explosion and the evolution of her career and life in the following decades. Let The Canary Sing is directed by Alison Ellwood, who has numerous documentary credits to her name, including 2013's History of the Eagles and 2020's The Go-Go's.In a statement, Lauper said of the documentary, "Over the years I’ve been asked to do a documentary about my life and work, but it never felt like the right time. Until now. When I first met Alison Ellwood, I knew right away I could trust her to tell my story honestly, which was incredibly important to me, and she succeeded in that.
