Rebel Wilson just welcomed her first child, a daughter named Royce Lillian, who was born via surrogate this past week. Posting to Instagram on Monday (November 7) the Pitch Perfect star wrote alongside a photo of the newborn: “Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate.”
“I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care,” Rebel’s post continues. “Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!! I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.”
After sharing the news of the arrival of her bundle of joy with her 11.2 million Instagram followers, many fans, friends and fellow actors sent love to the Australian star. Paris Hilton commented, “So happy for you love! Congratulations!!” Brittany Snow commented, “Aunt Britt is soooo excited to meet the newest Bella. I love you SO much Rebs.” Taika Waititi commented, “yes Rebz, congrats xx.” Octavia Spencer wrote, “Congratulations!!!!!” Director Michael Bay wrote, “You teach her to be funny! Rebel you still are the funniest woman I’ve worked with! So happy for you and your new baby.”
Wilson’s joyous announcement comes just two days after she took to Instagram Stories to share that she is not engaged to her girlfriend, Ramona Agruma. Rebel, 42, debuted her relationship on Instagram back in June, with the caption: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove.” On Saturday, Wilson wrote over a photo of the couple at Disney with the words: “Thanks for the well wishes but we are NOT engaged!” over the photo.
