Elliot Page Praised For Sharing Shirtless Photo
Elliot Page, wearing Gucci, attends the 2022 LACMA ART+FILM GALA Presented By Gucci at Los Angeles County Museum of Art on November 05, 2022 in Los Angeles, California.
Elliot Page is celebrating “trans joy” in a candid new Instagram post. Three years after the actor came out as transgender, Elliot is opening up further about his past struggle with gender dysphoria. This is defined as the feeling of unease and frustration people feel due to a mismatch between their biological sex and gender identity.
Sharing a shirtless photo in which he proudly displayed his chest scars to Instagram Wednesday (May 10), Elliot wrote: “Dysphoria used to be especially rife in the summer. No layers, just a T-shirt – or layers and oh so sweaty – constantly looking down, readjusting my oversized T.”

“It feels so f’ing good soaking in the sun now,” he went on before admitting that he “never thought” he’d be able to experience the joy he now feels in his body. He shared his gratitude for having gender-affirming care and told his nearly 6 million followers that he looks forward to sharing more of his journey.
Supportive Fans
The comments section was flooded with supportive comments for the Umbrella Academy actor. One person wrote, “Gender-affirming care is MEDICAL CARE! It treats a potentially deadly medical condition and gives people back their lives. So thrilled to see your joy and euphoria – everyone deserves to feel this way in their own body!” Another person commented, “This is my first summer post-top surgery. Wearing tank tops is my new favorite thing. So freeing! Thank you for being an inspiration to so many!” A third added, “So grateful to witness this new and free expression of you!” Commented another, “So happy for you and the light you are spreading. Everyone deserves joy and to live as their authentic self and to feel at home in their body. Congrats.”
In December of 2020, Elliot shared a heartfelt statement on his social media accounts of his transition. “Hi friends,” he wrote. “I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they, and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life.”
He added, “My joy is real, but it is also fragile. The truth is, despite feeling profoundly happy right now and knowing how much privilege I carry, I am also scared. I’m scared of the invasiveness, the hate, the ‘jokes’ and of violence. To be clear, I am not trying to dampen a moment that is joyous and one that I celebrate, but I want to address the full picture. The statistics are staggering. The discrimination towards trans people is rife, insidious, and cruel, resulting in horrific consequences.”
These Celebrities Have February Birthdays
February may be the shortest month of the year with just 28 days (29 on a leap year), but there are plenty of celebrities born in the second month of the year! People born in February are either Aquarius (born between February 1 and 18) or Pisces (February 19 to 28/29). Unique, highly intellectual, and creative, Aquarius can be an enigma to others but never to themselves. Air sign Aquarius is represented by the water bearer, the mystical healer who bestows water, or life, upon the land. They are the last of the air signs, and of all the zodiac signs, Aquarius is the most innovative, progressive, rebellious, and humanitarian. Aquariuses are known to be intellectual and curious, often interested in conspiracy theories and out-of-this-world thoughts.
Aquarius is ruled by Uranus, the planet that governs innovation, technology, and surprising events. This perfectly complements Aquarius’ nontraditional nature. Aquarius also have a reputation for being cold and detached, sometimes so focused on their plans that they neglect their family and friends. Even though Aquarius can let the present slip away from them, their free-spirited and eccentric personalities make them so charismatic.
Meanwhile, February Pisces are typically the most stereotypical Pisces. Since February-born Pisceans are ruled purely by Neptune, they tend to embody those dreamlike and creative qualities. This can be both a strength and weakness, making Pisces born in February natural creatives who excel at channeling their deep feelings into meaningful works of art. Regardless, Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, making it the most wise and psychic of all the other signs. There is much to be learned by Pisces, who tend to live half in a dream state. Represented by two fish swimming in opposite directions, the constant division of Pisces’s attention between fantasy and reality is seen as this yin-yang symbol.
It is no surprise that many talented actors and musicians are born in the month of February. See below which of your favorite stars have a February birthday!
