Halloween is Heidi Klum's favorite holiday. As always, the supermodel is setting herself up to outdo last year's costume. Every year, the America's Got Talent judge hosts a star-studded Halloween bash, where her costume is the highlight of the night. Last year, Klum surprised her guests by showing up as a giant earthworm. Klum really committed to being a giant worm and got on the ground with her limbs very obviously bound, resulting in hilarious photos of her wriggling about.

This year, it seems like she's got her heart set on taking things up a notch. She told ET on Wednesday (October 18) that for this year's costume, she took a five-hour trip to a "mysterious place" in order to see how her costume was coming along. She added, "Things are going very well. Thank goodness!" While she didn't want to give away any major spoilers, she did give fans the "tiniest little hint."

Klum's 'Epic' Costume

Klum said this year's costume is going to be "very colorful and super big. Honestly, I was envisioning it to be epic." The television host describes her costumes to be epic when "all of a sudden gifs are being made, and everyone is talking about it and it's in the news, and people are laughing." That is how she knows that her costume was a "very good one." In fact, Klum further teased that her costume might require her to "block a few lanes of the street" when she walks the red carpet.

The 50-year-old model explained that it "takes a long time to plan for my Halloween costume." Because of the involvement of prosthetics, she adds that it is just as hard to try on the costume as well. "And these prosthetics things are very, very expensive, and once you've used them, you don't take them off, and then you can't put them back on," she added. "It's one and done." Despite not being able to wear them again, Klum told the publication she has kept every costume she has ever worn. "I am a hoarder just for my regular, normal clothes, so why would I not hoard my costumes?"

Heidi Halloween

It's her season. Heidi Klum, aka the "Halloween Queen," always reigns supreme, going above and beyond with her Halloween costumes. Every year, we are amazed at her complete transformation with the help of prosthetics and special effects makeup. Klum’s annual Halloween Party has been attracting some of the biggest names in film, fashion and music since 2000, and each year the host tries to top her last look.

The pandemic forced the America's Got Talent host to postpone her annual Halloween party for the past two years, but she still did something for her fans. With the help of her family and close friends, she created a "Heidi Halloween" video, which she shared on Instagram.

As for her Halloween costume for 2022, Klum hasn't dropped any visual hints, but the 49-year-old supermodel told Entertainment Tonight that this year’s costume is going to be "very claustrophobic."

“I'm going to be very claustrophobic,” Klum teased. “Very claustrophobic. Very, very, very claustrophobic, but I don't want to let my Halloween fans down, or myself. It's an internal challenge with myself every year to come up with something amazing, something unexpected,” she continued. “I feel like I've achieved that this year, now I just really hope it works.”

Klum joked that the prosthetic-heavy costume might be so claustrophobic that she’ll need medical attention on standby. "There's never really a trial," she continued. "There's no dress rehearsal, so, when I do it that day – it's either it works or it doesn't work, so I hope it works."

This year's annual Halloween party will return in New York City, the perfect setting for the all-night bash she's trying to throw. "My friends, also from all over the world, come to New York," Klum said. "I love doing this in New York -- I love L.A., I live in L.A., and I've done the party here once, but the thing is, I sit in hair and makeup in my whole look for like, 14 hours to get it done, and then here, people are like, it's 10, 11 o'clock and they're like, 'Yeah, I gotta go night-night, I gotta go to bed.'"
