She ended up getting the best of him, after he handcuffed her! Here’s how it all went down.
What Happened After A Robber Handcuffed An Old Woman To A Chair?
According to KKTV, Christine Jenneiahn used a handgun she had hidden underneath her pillow to shoot and kill an intruder who had allegedly bound her to a chair and threatened her life. The home intruder has been identified as 39-year-old Derek Condon.
Bingham County Prosecuting Attorney Ryan Jolley said, “The case presents an easy analysis of self-defense and justifiable homicide. It also presents one of the most heroic acts of self-preservation I have heard of,” per KKTV.
KKTV reports Jenneiahn woke up around 2am one morning by a figuring in a black ski mask standing over her bed aiming a gun and a flashlight at her. The masked stranger then led her into the living room and handcuffed her to a wooden chair while he looked for valuables. Eventually, the old woman was able to drag the chair back into her bedroom to get a gun.
According to KKTV, he became upset when he noticed she wasn’t alone in the house and her son was there. That’s when she opened fire on him and he fired back injuring her, but he did not make it. KKTV reports she was bleeding on the floor of her living room for 10 hours until her son came up and called 911.
It was self-defense going by Idaho’s stand-your-ground laws. What a horrifying experience. Thankfully, she remained calm and was able to think clearly and found a solution to free herself and ultimately save her life and possibly her son’s, as well. You can see Condon’s mugshot below.

While committing crimes may seem black and white (you either broke the law or you didn’t), there are certainly some crimes that are dumber than others. Sometimes it’s the crime itself that’s wild, other times, it’s the people committing said crimes. These are 5 of the craziest, cringeworthy crimes ever committed.
Crimes can happen anywhere, anytime, to anyone. However, it takes a very unique individual, a case study if you will, to commit some of these outrageously dumb crimes. Years ago, these criminals would have been featured on Spike TV or one of those America’s Dumbest Criminal shows. Today, I’m not sure if those shows are around…and I’m certain Spike TV isn’t around anymore. That’s a story for another time.

Craziest Crimes
Crimes can happen for a number of reasons. They may happen out of necessity. They could also happen on accident. These crimes, however, do not fall into those categories. These crimes are different. None of these would accidentally happen. They also aren’t a matter of life or death. There’s no ethics quiz here, or any matters of ‘would you steal bread to support your family?’ These crimes, and criminals, aren’t straight up cringeworthy.
