We talk a lot about crimes being committed in the nude on the show. Typically the nudity has something to do with drug abuse, but this time the excuse the naked intruder gave cops is crazy.
According to a report, a man is facing multiple charges after police say he broke into a random Phoenix home while naked over the weekend, a house occupied by several children.
The suspect, 68-year-old Eugene Howard Shelton, reportedly told investigators he did it because an alligator was chasing him. The report also states that the children tried to refuse to let Shelton into the house.
One of the kids even hit Shelton on the hand with an iron before Shelton forced the door open. The kids called their father who was nearby and rushed home to find Shelton in the house sitting on the couch wearing only socks.
When police arrived they found Shelton laying in the driveway with the father/homeowner standing next to him. They found his boxers and fanny pack with some pills inside near the front door of the home.
Shelton admitted to officers that he smoked meth earlier. Shelton was arrested on charges including burglary, indecent exposure, and resisting arrest.
