Another day, another historical site damaged by the dumb. A couple of construction workers in China have been arrested after they used an excavator to dig a hole through the Great Wall of China. The damage has said to be ‘beyond repair’ which is disastrous for such an iconic piece of Chinese and world history. After they were tracked down, they admitted they did put a shortcut into the wall so they didn’t have to travel as far to complete their construction work. There has been no mention to what their punishment is going to end up being.
