Bear Attempts to Open Sliding Glass Door on California Home
Animal sightings happen all over the country and depending on what area you’re in, you might get used to seeing certain critters. In Florida, we hear about gators all the time on people’s porches or pools. If you’re in Michigan, you’ll see deer and turkey regularly. And in California, it’s often reports of bears. Not sure you ever get used to seeing some of the more intimating animals on your property but everyone could probably do without a visit from a bear.
A video filmed by some people in Lake Tahoe, California shows a bear on their back porch trying to get inside and join the party. It even reaches up for the handle of the sliding glass door to pull it, and that’s when one of the women starts roaring to scare it away.
According to one of the people in the video bear was actually inside the house at one point looking for food. It took off, but wasn’t satisfied and returned. The people inside can be seen trying to scare it off, and one of the women in a cast knew she didn’t have the ability to run if it got inside. Chuck has mentioned before on the show that if he was walking on a trail and someone he was with fell, he’d wish them the best and get the hell out of there. The bear wasn’t about to get inside so these folks didn’t have to make that decision.
You can see one guy in the video getting pretty close to the glass and luckily the bear didn’t charge right through and turn them into a snack. Would you be hiding in the corner or are you the type that is ballsy enough to get face to face with a bear through a sliding glass door?
