NJ Police Track Down Escaped Pig Named Albert Einswine
Police in New Jersey had their hands full while they combined their efforts to wrangle and escaped pig named Albert Einswine!
Fist and foremost, you know how much we love an animal with a clever name. Andy has has joked in the past about getting two pigs for himself, just so he could name them Jon Hamm and Kevin Bacon. The fugitive in this story has what is possibly the best name for a pig ever: Albert Einswine! (This is definitely Lisa’s favorite thing today.)
Police ended up on the scene after multiple reports of a pig roaming loose near the road. Since the call was a little bit on the unusual side, officers pulled out their phones and recorded the incident. The video showing the wandering pig avoiding capture, resulting in a brief (but hilarious) foot chase. Police did manage to lasso the wayward animal and tracked down his origin.
Police were quickly able to track down where their fugitive had come from and that the escaped pig’s name was Albert Einswine. Albert was returned to his owner. No injuries or damage to property were reported following the incident. No charges were filed against Albert Einswine or his owner.
There are some obvious jokes that you could make about cops chasing a pig, but they’re low-hanging fruit. So, instead, let’s just enjoy the photo and video that were shared on the Deptford Township Police Department’s Facebook page!
