Dating is already complicated enough. This is especially true when you set standards and have your own personal preferences for those you date. Many people will feel a connection on a date, but the other person doesn’t feel the same way. Leaving one person feeling defeated, asking, “Am I undateable?” Someone on Reddit started a thread about hobbies that make people undateable. It’s as interesting as you would hope it would be.

Many people have dating deal-breakers but people on Reddit are talking about hobbies that scream “Red flag!” If you have a hobby of pranking people, then this may make you undateable. “Anyone who loves ‘pranks’ where pranks aren’t meant for everyone to laugh but are in fact intended to harm, embarrass, or inspire true fear in someone else,” someone wrote. Someone said to steer clear of people who are obsessed with celebrity culture, more specifically worshipping celebrities. So, this could easily go for those who are overly obsessed with a famous person. For instance, someone who knows exactly when their favorite celebrity uses the restroom daily.
Interestingly, collecting memorabilia is on the thread as a hobby that makes you undateable. But this doesn’t apply to just any memorabilia, they’re talking about controversial collections. “A person who collects serial killers’ collectibles,” someone shared.
Someone expressed that it may not be a hobby at all. But they did say that when someone engages in hobbies that might affect their dating prospects. They wrote, “Hobbies like extreme gaming, obsessive collecting, or activities that consume all their time without leaving room for a partner can make someone appear undateable.”
No hobby is an undateable red flag. Apparently, having an interest in nothing can deem you as undateable to some people.
