Junk Food Round-Up: Oreo-Flavored Coke And Coke-Flavored Oreos
Oreo-flavored Coke and Coke-flavored Oreos are getting the spotlight in the latest Junk Food Round-Up on Dave & Chuck The Freak. Would you try these?
Dipping your Oreos in milk is a common and popular thing to do. It’s understandable as the two go hand-in-hand. However, dipping your Oreos in Coca-Cola might raise some eyebrows. However, the pair are going to link up for some unique collaborations. Would you be willing to try Oreo-flavored Coke or Coke-flavored Oreos?

Recently, we’ve highlighted some unique snacks on Junk Food Round-Up. The other day, we talked about Froot Loop bagels on Dave & Chuck The Freak and weren’t sure how we’d feel about those. According to Globe News Wire, Coca-Cola and Oreo brands have teamed up as “Besties” for 2 exclusive and limited-edition products: OREO Coca-Cola Sandwich Cookie and Coca-Cola OREO Zero Sugar Limited Edition. On their own, these are two of the biggest brands in the United States. Together? I don’t know if this is going to take off like they expect it to.
It seems like the collaboration is aimed at celebrating friendships and being “Besties.” In a sense, these two old friends are coming together and joining forces as “Besties.” Oana Vlad, Global Vice President – Brand Strategy at The Coca-Cola Company tells Globe News Wire, “Bringing together the playfulness of OREO and the Real Magic of Coca-Cola is unexpected, but also feels right because our brands are alike in so many ways. As a first-of-its-kind collaboration for both brands, we are thrilled for besties around the world to join us in celebrating new products, great experiences and unexpected moments of connection.”
They seem to be pretty excited about the collab over at Coke and that feeling seems to be shared by the folks at Oreo. Eugenia Zalis, Global Head of Marketing and Brand for OREO, Mondelez International tells Globe News Wire, “At OREO, we strive to identify fresh ways to excite consumers and, with this collaboration, we have truly upped the ante. The bestie bond forged between OREO and Coca-Cola is a playful way to unite our fanbases and celebrate the power of connection and togetherness. We cannot wait to see the reaction to the campaign and hope fans are excited to experience the latest twists on two classics.”
I’m just not buying into it. They’re making it seem like they’re finally giving us what we’ve been asking for by combining these two classics and favorites, but I don’t know if anyone is asking for this. Plus, sugar free? These are two of the most sugary products on the planet I feel like and they’re going to be selling a sugar free version? I don’t see it tasting right. Just go all-in with the full sugar! That’s what the people who want an Oreo and Coke collab would want! Do you agree? Would you be willing to try Oreo-flavored Coke or Coke-flavored Oreos?
