North Carolina Man Fell Asleep In Tesla Charged With Drug Trafficking

A North Carolina man who fell asleep in his Tesla while driving on US 70 has been charged with drug trafficking and other crimes! Not the best mule sleeping on the job.

If you're responsible for getting the drugs where they're supposed to be going, you can't fall asleep behind the wheel! Now, he's in a ton of trouble over it!

According to WRAL, Wilson's Mills police officers were told that the driver of a white Tesla was heading west on US 70 appeared to be asleep. When officers were able to locate the car, they confirmed the driver was, indeed, sleeping. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but it kept going for another mile (because the driver was reportedly asleep behind the wheel). Officers were able to position themselves in front of the Tesla to engage its sensors to make it stop. Pretty interesting technology there!

According to WRAL, officers conducted a search and found several dozen boxes of vape pens that contained various drugs including THC, methamphetamine, and MDMA. The driver of the Tesla has since been identified as Michael Goodman. Goodman has since been arrested and charged with a long list of crimes including: Trafficking MDMA, trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to sell or delivery marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, and reckless driving and failure to heed emergency lights/sire, per WRAL.

Wilson's Mills Police Chief A.Z. Williams tells WRAL, "We were fortunate to have been alerted about the vehicle first and foremost, then to have been able to stop the vehicle before it reached the I-40 interchange was the best possible outcome. I've been in this business for a long time and you think you've seen it all. There is alway1`s something new." I never knew they made vape pens containing MDMA or methamphetamine! Falling asleep behind the wheel is incredibly dangerous! That's why you shouldn't drive if you've been feeling drowsy or have been using drugs. Not only are you putting yourself at risk but you're also putting the life of other people on the road at risk. He's lucky the Tesla was able to be brought to a stop like that. Thanks to social media, everyone is a journalist these days. Hopefully, you can hear the sarcasm in my voice when I write that. Pros and cons to that.

Clearly, there was no stopping this person. A Chevy Camera leads police on a crazy chase in this video. It all happened after a robbery at a GameStop in Houston, Texas. Commenters on the video point out that at least he used his turn signals during the chase. Most don't choose to do that. I'm sure it was appreciated by all parties involved.

This video is definitely crazy! It currently has more than 42 million views on YouTube. In the video, a man leads authorities on a dangerous car chase after he stole a truck. He hits several other vehicles on the road during the chase. I certainly would not want to share the road with this person. It's dangerous out there.

This chase was all over the place. It starts on the road, but ends in a neighborhood with residents fearing for their safety. It happened in Santa Clarita, California. The video has more than 37 million views on YouTube. This chase gets wild and aggressive!

During O.J. Simpson's famous car chase, they weren't going at ridiculous speeds. This case is a bit different. This high-speed chase through Los Angeles ended when the vehicle slammed into a power pole and flipped over! This is definitely a must-see car chase. Check it out above!
