Indian Man With Indigestion Had Cockroach In His Intestines

This story is what nightmares are made of. Horror movie style stuff. Imagine your stomach was hurting, so you go to the doctor complaining of indigestion, and then they find a cockroach living inside your intestines! That’s what happened to a man in India.
According to Indian Express, a 23-year-old man in India went to hospital after experience stomach problems for about three days. Indian Express reports, the man had eaten some street food at a market a few days prior, and that was the suspected source of his stomach pain. And, it some ways, it was. Doctors were shocked to discover a live cockroach living inside the man’s intestines!
So, when you have a cockroach in your intestines, doctors have to get it out. It’s not something they are going to let stay and pass naturally. According to Indian Express, doctors advised an Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy to remove the living cockroach. Essentially, they had to put a tube down the man’s throat and using suction, they sucked the cockroach out of his intestines. The procedure saved the man’s life and is said to be recovering.
