5 Bingeworthy Reality TV Shows That Are Worth Your Time (Photo by Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images)

Looking for some new reality TV shows to watch that will be worth your time? Look no further, I have your back.

Reality TV shows are far from my favorite thing, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have my select few that I invest in and have really enjoyed. I think we can all be picky when it comes to our television programs and what we choose to watch and spend our time with–especially when it comes to reality TV shows. There are so many to choose from and some of them are straight up trash. Others happen to be such flaming piles of garbage that they actually end up being worth the watch. That’s where I love to live. I want my reality TV to be as cringy as “Scott’s Tots” episode of The Office. Thankfully, there are many reality TV shows out there that fit that description.

What Are Some Good Reality TV Shows To Stream?

When you think of reality TV shows, you probably think of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and that makes sense because it’s insanely popular and that family is seemingly everywhere now because of it. However, it’s not the only reality show out there. There are a wide variety of reality TV shows and they don’t all follow a famous family or celebrity around (although many of them do). There are also competition series, dating series, and more! Those ones are where the fun comes in, I could care less about the Kardashians, personally. Sure, they’re beautiful but they lack substance. I want to laugh! I don’t want to feel envious of how much money they have and how they have been able to do so much with…so little.

Today, some of the more popular reality shows include Vanderpump Rules, The Bachelor, Real Housewives, and RuPaul’s Drag Race. Then you also have new reality shows that are getting popular and have been talked about like The Traitors and House Of Villains. People always love a good villain when it comes to reality TV shows. Additionally, you have lots of HGTV shows which can be considered reality TV although that’s a bit different. So, while I love shows like Rock The Block, it won’t end up making the list of 5 reality shows that are worth the binge. I do highly recommend watching that though, so you can consider it an honorable mention.

Check out my list of 5 bingeworthy reality TV shows below! Did I include your favorite? Did some of your go-to shows not make the list?

  • 90 Day Fiancé

90 Day Fiancé and its multiple spin-off shows are without a doubt my favorite in all of reality TV. I often refer to it as the funniest show on TV. It’s funnier than any sitcom on the air today. I stand by it. It’s unbelievable how TLC was able to find the absolute worst people and couples to put on the show. They’re all the worst and have no chance at ending up together or any shot at happiness. They’re all doomed, and I am here to watch the trainwreck. Darcey & Stacey is probably my favorite spin-off because those two twins are a handful and need therapy. Instead, they keep going on TV and making things worse which is great for the audience, I suppose.

  • Love Is Blind

Reality dating shows can be very cringe, and Love Is Blind is no different. However, I’ll admit it’s an interesting concept and that’s what draws you in. Contestants date in pods where they can’t see each other and get to know one another through conversation and fall in love. Then, they see how compatible they are once you can see each other. I feel like it would be better if all the contestants weren’t incredibly beautiful though. By now, you know the person on the other end is hot, it’s just what kind of hot? It’s never like there’s a 3/10 on the other side. That would make the show a lot better, in my opinion.

  • The Great British Baking Show

The Great British Baking Show is something I came across during the pandemic and I haven’t looked back since. It’s so wholesome! There are also great recipes and dishes to try that aren’t as common here in the United States. You learn a lot watching it! Also, the competitors are always so sweet and friendly! They become best friends and are always helping each other. There’s never drama between contestants or any villains. It’s a feel good show and I don’t watch enough of them. Thankfully, I have this one. Plus, Paul Hollywood is so dreamy (and he knows it).

  • Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

I didn’t expect to love Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles as much as I do. All of the agents are a bit materialistic and full of themselves, but once you give it time you start adoring them and seeing through their sensitive shells. Now, I love (almost) all of them. The houses they show are always so cool and unbelievable. It shows you how the rich are living in Los Angeles and you’ll definitely feel a bit jealous. The houses are just crazy. It will make you want to pack your bags and head to LA. I know that’s how it made me feel.

  • Survivor

All these years later, Survivor still holds up! It’s crazy that it hasn’t run its course by now but props to the producers for keeping it fresh. The games have evolved and it is still entertaining every episode. The drama of tribal council has not been lost and has not gone away. It’s just as good as it was when it first hit our TVs decades ago. It’s still one of the best on TV.
