Minnesota Woman Attempts To Run Over Her Boyfriend During Argument
Nobody wants to be broken up with. It hurts and it can be embarrassing. Additionally, you’re losing not only your partner–but your best friend. It can be hard news to hear and not everybody will take it the right way. They might scream and yell at you, they might accuse you of wrongdoing, they might even try to get revenge on you. Also, the might try to run you over with their car. It sounds like that’s what happened here as a woman has been accused of trying to run over her boyfriend after he tried to end the relationship.
According to The New York Post, 30-year-old Veronica Roleen Gast and her boyfriend (who’s unidentified) were driving to a couple’s therapy session when they allegedly started arguing. During that argument, it sounds like the boyfriend decided enough was enough and came to the conclusion that the relationship just wasn’t working anymore. That’s when The New York Post reports that she allegedly stopped the car in the middle of traffic and demanded he get out. As he was walking in front of the car, The Post reports she stared him down and “floored” the car in an attempt to run him over. That’s some crazy behavior! You probably have a crazy ex of your own, we all do, but I doubt they’ve taken things to that level! The victim says he was thrown into the windshield and over the car’s hood leaving him injured. In order to fling him over the car she had to have been going pretty fast in that short distance! Pedal might have been to the floor, it sounds like!
Now, Gast is being charged with second-degree assault, gross negligence, domestic assault, and criminal vehicular operation–bodily harm, gross negligence, and domestic assault, per The New York Post. You can see her mugshot provided by the Otter Tail Detention Facility below.
There’s no word on the victim’s recovery and how he’s doing following the reported injuries. Hopefully, everything is okay. He could have been very seriously injured or killed by that!
