We’ve talked about it before on the show, but cuddle therapy seems to be gaining in popularity. This is a form of therapy where people hire someone to touch them, in a platonic manner, in order to help them regain their intimacy and people skills. We found the perfect woman to do this for Chuck.
According to ABC News, 20% of Americans now deal with “daily loneliness” and are enlisting the help of professional cuddlers to deal with their issues. People will go visit someone and be gently touched, watch movies, or just create some contact with a “cuddle therapist”. Rates and services vary, and we find out you can even book overnights with some therapists.
We had to do some research and find some professional cuddlers. We found way more than we ever imagined would exist. At first, we found only women. It made us wonder if there were any male cuddle therapists in existence. And, then we found Greggles.
Greggles is a male cuddle therapist who works out of Seattle, WA. He has a cat and offers services to people in need of platonic touch. Chuck says that he would definitely hire Greggles. Finally, Dave finds a woman who he thinks would be perfect for Chuck’s cuddle therapy session. Not really. She is straight out of Chuck’s nightmares. Lisa says that she’s going to order her services for Chuck, and ask that she bring egg salad sandwiches with her. We aren’t sure which grosses him out more, the lady touching him, or the egg salad sandwiches.
