Junk Food Round-Up: Pepsi Gingerbread Soda
Pepsi Gingerbread Soda is in the spotlight for the latest Junk Food Round-Up. Does it sounds like something you’d like?
Typically, I’m not a fan of these strange concoctions. I don’t think we needed Oreo Flavored Coke nor did we need Coke Flavored Oreos. It’s too much. However, I could actually see Pepsi Gingerbread Soda being good! It depends on how heavy they go with all the flavoring but if they do it right I could see it really taking off. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happen. They’re going to overdo it again, aren’t they?
Would You Try Pepsi’s Gingerbread Soda?
I thought I would like Vanilla Coke, but it proved to be overwhelming. I didn’t let it stop me from trying other versions that came out over the years. I tried Cinnamon Coke and it was terrible. Much worse than Vanilla Coke. It was like drinking Fireball without the alcohol. One sip was all I could manage and I never went back. Will Pepsi’s Gingerbread Soda suffer a similar fate? We’ll have to find out!
Truthfully, Gingerbread Soda will probably smell better than it tastes. However, they might be able to pull it off! If they do, it will be like Christmas in a can! Starting on December 4th Pepsi Zero Sugar Gingerbread Mini Cans will be available and it’s their first all-new holiday-themed flavor in years, according to People. Pepsi confirmed the news telling People that the seasonal flavor “blends the classic refreshing sweet and citrus pop and fizz of Pepsi with a festive blend of brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger and molasses, adding depth and warmth to create a delicious new way to celebrate the season.” Odd that with all those strange flavors mentioned my attention seems to be focused on Pepsi being described as a citrus flavor. I guess I never thought about that before. I was not aware.
Reviews make it sounds like the Gingerbread Soda is almost chocolatey in flavor which could be nice, or it could end up being too sweet. That’s my big concern here. That’s likely the reason it’s being released in Zero Sugar only and an original will not be available. They should be at your local grocery store on December 4th or you can buy them on Pepsi’s official TikTok shop. Pepsi is also running a contest where you can win some cans now through December 11th.
