A Drunk Driver Caused a Crash, and Told Police He’s a “Professional Drinker”
Police Were Not Impressed By This Professional Drinker
Don’t drink and drive. As you’ll see in this story, a man caused a multi-vehicle crash because he was wasted behind the wheel. Then, he told police something stupid. He said he was a professional drinker, which no one found funny.
According to reports from WCAX, “A man was caught on police body camera claiming to be a “professional drinker” as he was being arrested for causing a multi-vehicle crash, police said. According to police in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, officers arrived at the scene of the Dec. 4 crash and asked the driver how many drinks he had. The man said he had “probably 10” drinks and then also told the officer he was a “professional drinker.” “Hey, hey, hey, I’m gonna tell you right now, like, I’m a professional drinker,” the driver said in the video.”
The man was given a breathalyzer and blew a .326. He was over four times the legal limit. Professional or not, you can’t be driving after drinking. And, that is incredibly drunk. Also, is it something to be proud of? A professional drinker? There is another term for that, we think.
Unfortunately, his name was not released and there is no mugshot for this professional drinker. We will keep and eye on this story to see if anything like that develops. We’d like to put a face to the story because it just adds to the hilarity of something claiming this, like it’s a good thing.
Did he think that being a self-proclaimed pro drinker would help him out in this case? It’s not like being a pro drinker gives you some immunity form the law. Or gives you a free pass to drunk drive.
