Did someone steal the sink from a restaurant bathroom? That’s what the restaurant is saying and it sounds hard to pull off!
The incident reportedly happened at Jardim Rodizo in Altrincham and a restaurant owner says a woman walked in to use the bathroom and then left with the $200 sink in her bag! You can do that? How do you steal a sink? You’d think it wouldn’t be possible but here we are. The restaurant owner sounds just as shocked as the rest of us.
Someone Steals Sink From Restaurant Bathroom
According to Manchester Evening News, the owner discovered the woman stole the sink and some pipework as well. The staff of the restaurant reviewed CCTV footage and saw her walk in and head straight to the toilet. It does look like something is in her bag in the footage obtained.
The owner seems to be in good spirits through it all and appears to be laughing it off. He tells Manchester Evening News, “I’ve seen a lot of things, but never something like this. We have toilets in the restaurants, men’s and women’s are separate. But each individual cubicle has a nice sink to wash hands in. They’re not very expensive but they’re imitation stone. On Thursday, we noticed one was missing completely. We went to the CCTV cameras, we don’t have them in the toilets but in the corridors leading to the toilets. You can see a lady coming into the restaurant just to use the toilet—it’s not clear if someone front of house let her do that. But she has a small black bag with her. She goes into the toilets, and 11 or 12 minutes later she goes out and we can see the bag is now full of something.” How nice were those sinks? In order for someone to want to take them they have to be pretty nice!
