Canadian Man Breaks Record For Eating 25 Carolina Reaper Peppers In Under 5 Minutes
A Canadian man has broken the Guinness World Record for eating 25 Carolina Reaper Peppers in under 5 minutes. Clearly, he likes spicy food!
I can’t imagine what his insides must have been going through. This sounds like it had to have been unpleasant going in, and you have to believe it was incredibly unpleasant on its way out. Ouch. Mike Jack, a Canadian YouTuber with a high tolerance for spicy food, is the man who broke the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to eat 25 Carolina Reaper Chili Peppers. It happened at Goatfest in Kitchener, Ontario, according to UPI. How hot are those Carolina Reapers? They have a Scoville Heat Unit of roughly 1,641,183 and you can compare that to the average jalapeno which has around 4,000-8,500 Scoville Units. That sounds insanely hot. According to UPI, they were considered the hottest pepper in the world until the debut of Pepper X last year.
Watch him take on the feat here. It looks like he’s in some serious pain!

Ouch! I can’t even imagine how hot that would have been. He’s used to eating stuff like that and it even looks like he was struggling with it! Thinking about the average person trying just one? It hurts to think about.
He accomplished it in 4 minutes and 36 seconds. He had time to spare! This cannot be good for his insides, it just can’t be.
