Lately, technology has gotten scary good. We can track people and devices, we can communicate with friends all over the world, and more. However, technology is also getting scary. Like, can Tesla cameras actually detect ghosts?
According to a viral video, it looks like they can! Let’s investigate the matter.
Can Tesla Cameras Detect Ghosts?
One guy was driving their Tesla around a cemetery at night and then put his car in park. Then, the touchscreen on the car showed what appeared to be half-a-dozen people walking around. However, nobody was there. He was alone.
What makes it even scarier? The person was driving around in Rhode Island, just down the road from the home that inspired “The Conjuring.” Definitely not where you want to be encountering ghosts! If I ever come across a ghost, I would prefer it to be Casper compared to a demon ghost from “The Conjuring.”
Don’t believe me? See for yourself! Check out the video Robby Purpora shared to his TikTok below!
So, is this just wild coincidence? Is this Elon Musk pulling some sort of prank on his customers? Personally, I think that explanation makes the most sense. Maybe these Tesla cameras were programmed to show bodies when it knows you’re near a cemetery. That would be pretty clever. If any automaker, or company in general, were to do this, wouldn’t it totally be Tesla? It would have to be an Elon Musk move.
I’m thinking that has to be it. It didn’t only happen once! It’s happened several times as people are driving through cemeteries. I refuse to believe it’s a coincidence. Check out this other viral video shared by yailinmurillo where the same thing happened!
What else could it be? I suppose it could be mistaking the wind for a body? Clearly, there was nobody there in the video. I’m at a loss for guesses on this one.

Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
