When you turn these things upside down, they definitely look like a dangling pair of testicles. It doesn’t help that the color is a soft pink. It’s not red, that would have made a difference. It definitely looks like balls.
Of course, they are supposed to be hearts. Selling testicle shaped candy doesn’t seem like the best marketing choice. Unless it’s in honor of, like, Testicular Cancer Awareness? That could be a thing.
The internet was quick to point out the similarities. Many poked fun at the ball shape. Others, were excited and tagged their significant other in the post excited to get their hands on the chocolate balls. Hey, it’s like Chef from South Park!
Now, not everyone is thinking it’s a mistake. It’s so obvious that many people are thinking Reese’s had to do this on purpose. There’s no possible way this was an accident, they’re saying. Personally, I can’t blame them! It totally looks like that!
In the end, it doesn’t seem like the shape is going to stop people from eating them. They just might be tempted to play with their food a little before consuming it. I’ve always been a fan of Reese’s specialty treats like this. The Christmas Trees? Phenomenal. Hearts? Great. Balls? Why not!? I’m sure they’re tasty.
