Have you ever heard of a post-dinner fart walk? It’s the latest trend to hit TikTok and there are several benefits!
So, what is a fart walk? Let’s dive in and learn more.
The Benefits Of A Post-Dinner ‘Fart Walk’
Look, releasing gas feels good. Additionally, it’s actually good for us. There’s the old saying, “better out than in.” However, it can be deemed rude or inappropriate to blast farts while sitting at the dinner table or sitting on the couch with your significant other. They don’t always appreciate it, or find it funny (for some reason). That’s part of the reason people are turning to post-dinner fart walks.
Cookbook author and TikTok’er Marilyn Smith is now speaking out on the benefits of a fart walk on social media…and people are paying attention! Smith says that her and her husband have a nightly ritual of fart-walking an hour after eating dinner. She says one of the benefits is that you can “reduce the risk of diabetes by getting all that gas out of your system.” She adds that another benefit would be that it helps you “age wonderfully.”
It makes sense. You don’t want all that gas in your body, it can’t be great. A walk is the perfect time to release all that gas. Not only are you getting fresh air and exercise, you’re able to expel that gas in a place that nobody will notice and it won’t inconvenience anybody else. That’s like killing two birds with one stone. Several health benefits just by getting up, taking a walk, and farting. That’s an exercise we can get behind here on Dave & Chuck “The Freak!”
See what Marilyn Smith had to say about the notorious fart walk below. You might want to add it to your nightly routine! There are many benefits (including your partner not being mad at you for constantly farting in the house).

Peep Show: The Best Of Chuck The Freak
Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
