Owner Of ‘The Conjuring’ House Fires Employee After Spirit Accuses Him Of Stealing
The owner of The Conjuring house has reportedly fired an employee after being told by a spirit that the employee was stealing. Could this be real or just a new way to market the haunted house?
Either way it makes for a good story! Of course, unless you’re the person who was fired after a spirit claimed you were stealing. That would be a strange thing to hear but it actually happened to someone in the state of Rhode Island!
Owner Of ‘The Conjuring’ House Fires Employee After Spirit Accuses Him Of Stealing
The Conjuring is one of my favorite scary movies and is one of the more successful horror sagas in recent years. If you didn’t know, it is based on a true story and the house discussed in the movie is also very real. Now, there’s even more reason to believe that the house might actually be haunted.
According to KTLA, Brian Dansereau claims he was fired from the house featured in The Conjuring after his boss says she was told by a spirit that Dansereau had been stealing money. It wasn’t just any spirit who told her that, she says it was the home’s 19th-century owner. It all happened at the Old Arnold Estate in Burrillville, Rhode Island. The home was made internationally famous with the 2013 horror movie.
KTLA reports that Dansereau claims owner Jacqueline Nunez abruptly fired him after she said the spirit of John Arnold, who owned the home in the 1800s, told her that Dansereau had stolen around $3,000. However, Dansereau has denied the theft. According to KTLA, he said, “She said, ‘John Arnold told me you’ve been stealing money out of the cash box for the past two months.’ I literally stopped and I had to correct her like, ‘John Arnold, one of the original owners?” Sounds like he was pretty thrown off after being confronted with the accusation. Who wouldn’t be after they were allegedly accused by a ghost?

Nunez is a self-described medium and channel and did confirm she fired Dansereau after spirits in the haunted house told her he had been stealing. She said in a statement via KTLA, “It does not matter whether you believe in the paranormal or not. I and every person is entitled to experiences that bring understanding and meaning to our lives, including being informed or warned about wicked actors and actions. As far as Brian goes, my experience with him devolved quickly, culminating in his at-will employment termination.”
However, it sounds like the spirit has also informed her of several other bad behaviors from guests and employees. Who needs cameras when you’ve got spirits in your haunted house protecting everything and keeping you informed? You can save a lot of money. What do you think? Was he busted by a spirit or are they just looking for a bit of attention online? You’d hope you wouldn’t have to be fired for your place of work to receive some publicity.
