Christmas Tree Eyebrows Are The New Strange Trend
There's a new trend taking over the internet... (Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images)
Move over micro bags, there’s a new internet trend. This one is hard to miss as it’s right on your face. What’s this new trend breaking the internet? Christmas tree eyebrows.
It’s not only an eye sore, but with all that work it will likely leave your eyes sore. It’s not the best look, but we all know that one person who loves taking the holidays to the next level. This look is for them.
Christmas Tree Eyebrows?
People on Instagram are turning their eyebrows into Christmas trees, essentially. The new trend is picking up steam all over the internet.
People are dying their eyebrows green like Christmas trees. However, that’s not all! They also add tacky ornaments onto their brows–just like a Christmas tree.
They’re colorful, they’re bright, they’re…a bit much. Don’t you think? Some seem to be prettier than others. However, “pretty” seems to be a stretch. Maybe it’s good for the family Christmas party? I wouldn’t show up to the work event like this. That would be a great way to get the entire office talking about you…but not in a good way.
Going through photos of some examples, I’m seeing it’s not only a trend for women! Men can participate, too. Anyone can look bad doing this trend, it’s not exclusive to just one group of people!
Of course, this is what the internet is for: getting attention. I’ve seen much, much worse in an effort to gain attention online. At least this isn’t hurting anyone…I don’t think? Hopefully when they’re washing it off it doesn’t get in the eyes. Also, those ornaments could do some damage if you’re not careful.
Looking at some comments online, it seems like a lot of people are agreeing with me. One person on SadAndUseless.com who goes by “Pickles” said, “I’d like to look uglier this holiday season, any ideas?” Yes, Pickles. I do, indeed!
Another user on SadAndUseless.com, Susan Ashman, says, “I’d be afraid to get glitter in my eyes & scratch my eyes.” Very true, Susan. At least if that happens, you won’t have to look at these eyebrows anymore.

If ‘Die Hard’ is a Christmas Movie, These 5 Tracks are Christmas Songs
The debate around whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie has been around for years. A simple Google search will yield an obscene amount of articles from a variety of outlets that argue whether it is or isn’t a Christmas movie.
Seriously, this debate has been addressed by truly the strangest group of publications you can possibly imagine. They include Yahoo! Entertainment, Parade, Men’s Health, The Pioneer Woman (yes, really), The Federalist (not kidding), and — perhaps most surprising of them all — Catholic.com.
The debate reached such an intensity that Bruce Willis waded into it. During the 2018 Comedy Central special Roast of Bruce Willis, John McClane, himself, addressed the debate.
“People ask me why I did this roast,” began Willis. “Was it because one of the last guys who did it became president? Hell no. Why would I want to be president when I can just keep being Bruce f—in’ Willis?”
He continued, “I did this roast for one reason and for one reason only, to settle something once and for all. Now, please, listen very carefully: ‘Die Hard’ is not a Christmas movie! It’s a —damn Bruce Willis movie. So, yippee ki-yay to all of you motherf—ers.”
With that in mind, it’s about time we focus a similar energy on Christmas music.
At this point in the holiday season, there is a good chance you have heard a lot of the same Christmas songs over and over again. (We’re looking at you, Mariah Carey!) We have nothing against some of the classics, but variety never hurt anyone.
There are only a handful of days left until Christmas. In the spirit of Die Hard now being widely considered a Christmas movie — despite the colorful comments of Willis — consider these five classic rock songs as Christmas songs. Enjoy! (And you’re welcome!)
Cort Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was named Clarkston High School 2009 Class Clown 13 years after graduating. Totally normal thing to happen. That’s thanks to his time spent as an Intern at Comedy Central and Social Media Correspondent for The Colbert Report. Cort has done comedy across the country, both standing up and sitting down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air and online, he’s probably at home enjoying his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally uncomfortable writing about himself in the third person. Cort enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment. So, basically anything and everything.
