What made a Florida Man’s colon explode? It’s something that can happen to any one of us at any time!

This could have happened to you already today! It’s a common thing that could have an incredibly dangerous or deadly ending! Find out what happened below!

How Did A Florida Man’s Colon Explode?

There’s nothing like waking up and enjoying a nice breakfast with your significant other. It’s relaxing and a great way to start the day…at least it typically is. According to Daily Mail, a man was eating breakfast with his wife when a cough and a sneeze at the same time left him with an unexpected injury.

That’s right sneezing and coughing at the same time made a Florida Man’s colon explode! Has this ever happened to you? I feel like it’s happened to me several times. It’s pretty common to have multiple things like that happen at once. You can sneeze and fart at the same time, that’s not very rare. What is rare is having your colon straight up explode after a sneeze and a cough at the same time. It does make sense, though, those sneezes and coughs can be pretty powerful!

According to Daily Mail, the 63-year-old noticed a wet sensation and sharp pain after sneezing and coughing. Then, when he lifted his shirt he noticed several inches of bowel were sticking out of his surgical wound! Daily Mail reports that he had abdominal surgery earlier that day but was told he was well-healed! Well, that doesn’t seem to be true anymore. Again, sneezes and coughs can be powerful! They can rupture stiches and stuff like that pretty easily!

When paramedics arrived, they noticed a 3-inch opening with a large amount of bowel protruding through it, per Daily Mail! He was rushed to the hospital and they were able to successfully return his bowel to his abdomen. He stayed in the hospital for 6 days and has experienced no further complications. He was lucky as Daily Mail reports this type of injury can be fatal 40% of the time! That’s what did it. That’s what made the Florida Man’s colon explode. Be careful sneezing and coughing at the same time, friends!
