Why Did A Man Have To Get Part Of His Penis Amputated?
“Why did a man have to get part of his penis amputated?” is a tough sentence to read. There’s something about reading it that makes me hurt on the inside imagining this happening to me. No, thank you! It’s best we all learn from this mistake so it doesn’t happen to any of us. You never know!
According to Daily Mail, an unidentified American man had to have the head of his penis amputated after wearing an erection boosting sex ring for an entire day! Yeah, you’re not supposed to do that! Like I mentioned earlier, too much of a good thing can end up being a problem! Now, this guy is learning that the hard way. Daily Mail reports that medics had to peel away layers of dead tissue but they couldn’t save the tip–it’s a pretty important part! However, in what appears to be the first of its kind, the medic used part of the man’s thigh to rebuild parts of the 68-year-old’s member, per Daily Mail.
It sounds like the ring got stuck around his penis and he had to use pliers to remove it from himself, per Daily Mail. It didn’t help the problem that he waited a week after it happened to seek medical attention. They were able to give him a bit of assistance and sent him on his way but returned two weeks later when his entire penis had turned black and gangrenous, per Daily Mail. Talking about the issue, medics say that this happening is rare but would pose as a serious condition saying, “Penile strangulation from a constrictive ring is a urologic emergency that warrants immediate removal to prevent vascular compromise and subsequent necrosis, as well as acute urinary retention.”
Doctors reportedly warn against using rings made from hard materials such as metal because they lack elasticity. There are other materials you can choose from that may pose less of a risk to you and your privates.
