A wedding photographer has been accused of recording the bride with a secret camera in the bridal suite. Now, he’s being charged with interfering with privacy!
Can you imagine if your wedding photographer did this? You’re trusting them to get photos of the biggest day of your life, but this is actually what he’s up to? You have to be careful with who you trust!
Wedding Photographer Accused Of Secretly Recording Bride
It sounds like secret cameras are being found everywhere these days. They’re in public bathrooms, private bathrooms, hotels, and Airbnbs–there is no escaping them. However, you never expect one to be at your own wedding!
It happened in Duluth, Minnesota. According to KAAL-TV, 30-year-old Mitchell Ringess has been charged with one count of interfering with privacy (hotel, tanning booth or other) install or use a surreptitious device. He is the owner of MR. Photography and I think it’s going to be very hard for the company to get any business now that this is out.
KAAL-TV reports that back in April a woman handed in a flash drive to the Cloquet Police Department which reportedly belonged to Ringness. It sounds like she took the flash drive from him and allegedly saw photos and videos of naked women that appeared as if they were being secretly recorded. A search warrant was executed and officers reportedly found video of a bride changing into her dress at The Barn at Chapeau Shores in Albert Lee back in 2020, per KAAL-TV.
Chad and Jayne Iverson, who own The Barn at Chapeau Shores, tell KAAL-TV, “The safety of the wedding couple and all guests is vitally important to us, so hearing this news has been very upsetting. Anyone affected by this individual has our deepest sympathy.” The owners point out that Ringness was not hired by the venue and was not paid by the venue. It sounds like he was hired by the couple to photograph the wedding. Remember: always make sure that the people you give exclusive access to are trust worthy individuals. You can see a picture of Ringness here.
