Did cops find a half-naked man hiding inside of a sofa? That’s what’s being reported!
This sounds like something straight out of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Remember the famous scene where Frank (played by Danny DeVito) is hiding inside the sofa? However, everyone can clearly see there’s a man hiding inside a sofa? That’s what I’m picturing here. It sounds like it might be a good spot to hide but it’s not. There are better hiding places in a home than inside the sofa, apparently. This incident happened in Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. Reports say officers showed up to the home in Potton with a warrant to arrest the man in question around 7:20am in the morning, per LAD Bible. However, despite their initial search efforts they were unable to find the suspect. Then they got creative and decided to expand their search to the sofa and that’s where they found him.
It’s now being compared to a sketch from Saturday Night Live but it’s all too real. According to LAD Bible, the local authority took to Facebook to say, “We’ve seen some things in our time, but we must say this is a first! This morning while executing a warrant in Potton, our Biggleswade Community Policing Team thought there was nothing more to be found in the property bar a friendly dog. Upon a closer search, officers found the suspect tucked into the base of his sofa. We thought the man would be more comfortable tucked into bed, so he’ll be spending the next few hours in a custody cell–little less of a squeeze that way.” I don’t know why but I always love posts like that from law enforcement. It’s funny when they use their personalities with crazy alleged crimes like this.
Now, people online are comparing this to their games of hide-and-seek as kids and how they were much better at hiding than him while others say he must have been the best in his friend group at it. It sounds like not only was he hiding inside of a sofa but he was also nearly nude! Reports say he was only in his undies when he was discovered.
