A Florida woman has been charged with battery with a conch shell. It’s the latest strange item used in an attack.

We’ve talked about all sorts of ordinary items that have been used as weapons on Dave & Chuck The Freak. There was the fight with soggy bread, that one seems to really stand out, but there were other ones over the years as well. A conch shell is likely a new one that needs to be added to the list. The incident happened in St. Petersburg, Florida and now a 40-year-old Florida woman has been charged with felony battery for allegedly attacking a male acquaintance with a large conch shell with barnacles, per The Smoking Gun. The suspect has been identified as Nikki Quarterman and you can see her mugshot provided by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office below.

Florida Woman Allegedly Attacks Man With Conch Shell

According to The Smoking Gun, Quarterman was very intoxicated when she got into a verbal argument with the 63-year-old victim whom she has been in an on-again-off-again relationship for the past decade. The Smoking Gun reports that during the argument she took her clothes off and started to break everything in the victim’s residence.

Eventually, the victim got her to go outside but that’s when she attacked him with a conch shell, per The Smoking Gun. The victim suffered a laceration to his hand in an effort to block the shell. She then locked herself in the garage and was eventually taken into custody following a brief struggle, per The Smoking Gun.

She has since been released from custody and has been ordered not to have any contact with the victim. She appears to have a history of run-ins with the law including multiple convictions for disorderly intoxication and marijuana possession along with convictions for battery, DUI, assault on a law enforcement officer, and driving with a suspended or revoked license, per The Smoking Gun.

I would never think of getting attacked by a conch shell. That would really hurt if it got you at the right angle! Not only could it be used with force but it could be sharp and cut you as well. A lot of ways it could get you.
